Legislative Day 2025

Legislative Day 2025

April 30, 2025 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
SAFE Credit Union Convention Center
Address: 1401 K Street, Sacramento CA 95814

Join us in Sacramento for C.A.R.’s Legislative Day and Block Party

Join other members of the Santa Cruz County Association of REALTORS® and travel to Sacramento for C.A.R.’s Legislative Day. More than 2,000 REALTORS® are expected to attend.

Legislative Day gives California REALTORS® the opportunity to meet and discuss real estate issues directly with their state legislators and staff, urging them to support creating opportunities for homeownership and to defeat bills that would impose unfair taxes that will make homeownership even more expensive for working Californians.

Attending Legislative Day is not only a great investment in your business, but it also provides you with an opportunity to hear from California’s most dynamic political leaders, enjoy great entertainment, and network with REALTORS® from around the state.

SCCAR will also be hosting a luncheon for all our members who participate.

This event is free to attend if you have paid the additional $49 (or more) to the REALTOR® Action Fund. If you have not, the event fee is $49. There is a no-show fee for the luncheon.

And come by the night before for C.A.R.’s third annual Legislative Day Block Party! A full city block in downtown Sacramento will be closed down and filled with food trucks, games, a D.J., and lots of photo opportunities. You won’t want to miss the fun! The Block Party runs from 6:30 PM-9:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29th. The fee to attend is $25.

To register for Legislative Day and/or the Block Party or to learn more, please contact Andrea Harbert at aharbert@mysccar.org

    About the Event

California’s housing market is increasingly shaped by climate-driven constraints that influence where housing can be built and how communities plan for the future. From pending defensible space requirements under consideration by state regulators to growing water limitations and accelerating coastal vulnerabilities, climate change is becoming a defining factor in housing development decisions and long-term market stability across the state.

Join the Center for California Real Estate (CCRE) on Thursday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. for a virtual discussion exploring how climate-related pressures — including wildfire risk, water scarcity, and coastal erosion — are reshaping California’s housing landscape. This CCRE conversation will examine what housing professionals should understand as climate considerations become increasingly embedded in California’s housing framework.
