Risk Management (C.A.R. GRI)

This is a RISK MANAGEMENT course includes principles, practices and procedures calculated to avoid errors and omissions in the practice of real estate. This is not a survey course. This course has been designed to provide students with:

  • An understanding of the basic concepts of risk management
  • The ability to identify common areas of risk
  • An understanding of licensee activities likely to contribute to risk
  • An awareness of the risks involved in the preparation of a purchase agreement
  • Identifying potential conflicts of interest in agency relationships
  • Practical examples of high-risk areas
  • Examples and guidelines for risk reduction
  • How risk management impacts the consumer
  • An understanding of their legal responsibility
  • An awareness of what is a fiduciary relationship and when does it arise
  • An understanding of the NAR Code of Ethics, Article 1, Duties to Clients
  • Identifying proper handling of trust funds
  • An understanding of the disclosure responsibilities, and more!
