March is Women’s History Month, a time dedicated to recognizing the remarkable contributions women have made throughout history and celebrating those who continue to shape the future. This month, we reflect on the trailblazers who paved the way for progress and the leaders who are making history today.
Clara Shortridge Foltz was a true trailblazer. While best known as California’s first female lawyer, she also played a pivotal role in real estate advocacy. She championed women’s property rights, helping to expand their ability to own, buy, and sell real estate independently. Her leadership and dedication to creating opportunities for women in the industry continue to inspire professionals today.
As Foltz once said, “Women shall have the right to earn a living, to own property, and to control their own destinies.” Her legacy urges us to keep pushing boundaries, uplifting one another, and using our voices to shape the future of real estate.
